Welcome to the website of MAANZ,
Mosaic Association of Australia & New Zealand, previously known as Mos-Oz.

MAANZ is a non-profit association that began in March 2002 with a simple idea: to create exhibition events that will allow artists of all levels and of all styles to display their works and provide an opportunity for their creative growth.

And now MAANZ has grown into an association that is about
Mosaic Exhibitions, Mosaic Education and Mosaic Making a Difference in the Community .

Mosaic exhibitions

We have many exhibitions coming up in 2008. Please see our Upcoming Exhibits page for full details. In 2005 our Exhibition for members and non-members in Sydney was held at the Arterial Gallery in Rozelle. In Melbourne, the exhibition was held at the stART Community Art Space. For a full wrap-up of the exhibitions, click here.

Mosaic education

MAANZ hosted a Symposium in 2005, which took place in Sydney during the week of the Sydney exhibition. See the Exhibition 2005 section of the website for details of that event.

In addition to the Symposium, MAANZ has begun a Mentoring Program. Scott Harrower started up our program as our very first mentor. Our most recent program was run by Nola D., and details of that program will be on the web soon. For more info about the Mentorship program, please click here. This, and future Mentorship programs are currently open to MAANZ members only. If you would like to become a member, please click here .

Mosaic Making a Difference in the Community

MAANZ has adopted a Starlight Children's Foundation child named Kirk, whom we raise money for by getting together to create mosaics that are then raffled off, with all proceeds going to fulfill Kirk's wish. Pop into our Art From the Heart section to read more about MAANZ members and the mosaic community work that they do.

30:30 Vision POSTCARDS

We now have 16 coloured postcards of each of the  2006 Travelling Exhibition entries called Inspired From the Classics. Each participant from this tour will be receiving several copies of their image free of charge. These will be distributed in February 2009.
We will also have these postcards on sale. They are $2 each or $30 for the set of 16.
A copy of these postcards will be placed on the members only site so you can look at them before you buy. But they're not there yet!

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR VERY FIRST JUNIOR MEMBER

See the attached article from Melbourne to read about our very first junior member of MAANZ. This idea was initiated by Pat Judd - MAAZ Victoria Representative.
