Susan O’Byrne is an Irish ceramic artist based in Glasgow, Scotland. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art and has received awards including the Craft Potters Charitable Trust Award (UK) and Archie Bray Foundation’s Rudy Autio Grant (US). Her work is held in collections across Europe and the US and is exhibited internationally. Susan creates allegorical animal sculptures that explore human sensitivity through surface and form. Using a distinctive mosaic-like technique of

collaged paper-porcelain patterns, she references domestic craft traditions such as needlepoint, layering history and storytelling into intricate animal bodies.
